Here's a picture of the December Pattern of the Month, for those of you who can't access the group files. I STILL have no idea why, but we still have members who can't get to the group files (more about my plans for how to get around this issue later). Try clicking on the picture and see if that will bring up the pattern for you! I have directly linked the picture to the PDF.

You'll probably notice right off that this "picture" is not a photo,  but a realistic bead chart. I do apologize, but I got all ready to make the photo and found my batteries in my camera are dead-argh!  Then I remembered my scanner is still on the fritz-DOUBLE argh!! So I just used the realistic picture, which is clear and pretty much complete, except for the mini dangles on top of the party hat.  I had planned on doing something grander to end 2009, but found myself pressed for time and sick with the flu to boot.

The Party Penguins are easily made with any size seed or Delica bead, can be beaded in brick or peyote and make cute earrings, charms, decorations, party favors, etc. If made with Delica 11s, they are approximately 1.75" wide x 2.3" tall.

So, HERE'S the PLAN!! I am going to upload all the designs for 2009 to the shopping cart and give each of you free downloads of them, for those of you who have not been able to access our group files. They will be available for you to download for free until January 15 when I clear out all the 2009 designs and start the 2010 designs. That way you have the chance to get all the designs you missed during the year, thanks to Yahoo!  Our own Mod Denise suggested a way I could take advantage of the shopping cart to give you easy access to the patterns without giving them away to everyone. So the plan is to put them up in the shopping cart with a unusually high price tag--like $20-25 per pattern. If people go ahead and buy them at the higher price (which most won't), they get the year's membership too. Later, when I put the patterns up for sale at regular prices (after they are no longer POMC Exclusives), I will reduce the prices on those patterns so they can be bought at regular price. I will do this for each new pattern in the future. The POMC group (BLMembers@yahoogroups.com) will be only for notifications and the pictures and patterns will be available through the website beginning in January, 2010. Each month I will send out the notice through the group that the new pattern is available with the link to the newsletter, the picture and the pattern in the shopping cart. The notice will also have the free download link for you to pick up your pattern directly from the shopping cart. Now, if PayLoadz will just get their codes working properly, that should work!

A NOTE about PayLoadz: for those of you who have tried to apply the Member's discount code and been told it is not valid, I have written them no less than 4 times and they have assured me they are working on it. In the meantime, if you wish to make an order and the code doesn't work, drop me a line to let me know. If you will go ahead and place the order at regular price, I will MANUALLY refund you the 30% as soon as I receive the notice that you have paid for your order at regular price, AND send you a free surprise pattern for your trouble. Hopefully they will get the codes straightened up soon.
